Drag anywhere. Your finger points the board across the wave face — drag up to climb toward the lip, down to drop to the trough, forward to trim down the line, back to swing into a cutback.
Speed comes from the wave, not from a button. The steep water just ahead of the breaking lip — the pocket — is where the push is. Drop in, turn off the bottom, and stay with it.
Fall behind the foam and you lose the wave. Race too far onto the shoulder and the wave goes flat under you.
Tap if you get stuck. It draws the line for you — a drive up off the bottom when you are low, a drop and drive when you are high. It steers; it does not hand you speed.
On a keyboard: arrow keys aim, space taps, esc opens this panel.
Cape Surf is played by reading the shape of the wave, and cannot currently be played without sight.
